OTTA traces its roots to NeuLion, the streaming technology platform co-founded by Chris Wagner that delivered 60,000+ live sports events annually for the NFL, NHL, NBA, and UFC. Paul Wagner, who grew his career on NeuLion's ad sales team, went on to found Foxhole Media Group — a leading national digital advertising marketplace. In 2020, Foxhole and OTTA combined, bringing together the technology heritage of NeuLion and the advertising expertise of Foxhole under one roof.

OTTA was built on a foundation that few companies in the industry can match. NeuLion — co-founded by Chris Wagner — was the streaming technology platform behind 60,000+ live sports events per year for the NFL, NHL, NBA, UFC, and others. That experience gave the OTTA team an operator's understanding of how live sports streaming actually works, from the infrastructure up.

When Paul Wagner — who built his career on NeuLion's ad sales team — founded Foxhole Media Group into a leading national digital advertising marketplace, the two sides of the business came together. The 2020 combination of Foxhole and OTTA created the only company in the market with deep roots in both live sports streaming technology and national digital advertising sales.
